- Enraged Mode: Indicated by steamy breath and a much shorter time between attacks
- Rampage: Arzuros fills the
Stalker Role during Rampage missions. Stalkers tend to focus on attacking hunters, moving very quickly and stalking them across the Stronghold. They can also destroy Hunting Installations if a hunter is manning them.
Quick Combat Tips:
- Arzuros' weakpoint is its Rear. Focusing attacks on this part deals the most damage, but watch out for its sit-down counter.
- When Enraged, Arzuros' attacks come out much faster with less time in between its different moves.
- Arzuros' roars are not strong enough to affect the hunter. Take advantage of the long animation to dish out a lot of damage.
- Keep some Honey in your inventory and allow Arzuros to grab you. It will steal your Honey as it does so and eat it on the spot, leaving it vulnerable to attacks for a considerable amount of time.
Arzuros Attacks & Moveset
- Charge - Arzuros' main form of attack is to charge in a straight line at hunters. This attack covers quite a large distance in front of the monster but has a narrow hitbox and can be evaded by dodging to either side. Note that Arzuros does not stop even if it hits a hunter until it reaches the end of the attack and tires out. There is a small window to attack the monster as it recovers.
- Bear Tackle - This attack is similar to the charge, but is much faster and has no obvious telegraphs. Arzuros also angles its body sideways near the end of the move, granting it a very wide hitbox. A direct hit will send hunters flying, stunning them as they land. Get as far away to either side as possible when you see the attack coming, or if you are skilled enough, dodge forward through the attack at a diagonal angle.
- Claw Swipes - Arzuros stands tall on its hind legs and begins a barrage of three claw swipes from side to side. Dodge backwards and move away or get behind the monster as it preps for the attack. Do not underestimate the attack's hitbox nor its tracking ability and stay far away or directly behind Arzuros to avoid damage. When Enraged, Arzuros swipes 4 times with slightly less time between each swipe.
- Bear Hug - Arzuros stands upright briefly and then dives forward, sweeping its claws in a wide arc at its front. Pre-emptively get behind the monster when it stands upright to dodge either this attack or the Claw Swipes.
- Pin Down - Arzuros rushes a hunter, pinning them down to the ground. If the attack connects, the hunter is rendered helpless as the monster grabs and shakes them before tossing high up. If you are grabbed, use the Wire Fall technique as it tosses you to instantly recover. If the grabbed hunter has any Honey in their inventory, Arzuros will steal it and begin eating it on the spot. It will be vulnerable to attacks for a long time as it does this. Take this opportunity to exploit this behavior!
- Sitting Counter - Arzuros' rear is its most vulnerable spot and attacks focused on its backside will deal the most damage. However, staying at its back too long will cause the monster to quickly hop backwards and attempt to sit on any hunters in the area.
- Roar - Arzuros' Roar does not affect hunters in any way and has a rather long animation. Take advantage of this and dish out as much damage as possible.
