Iceblight is a Status Effect in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR or MHRise). Status Effects are various buffs, effects, and ailments that can be afflicted on both hunters and monsters. Both Hunters and Monsters can receive Effects from Skills, the environment, and attacks.

Iceblight Effects
Effect on Hunters
When a hunter is inflicted with Iceblight the recovery rate of their Wirebug Gauge is greatly decreased, resulting in the hunter being able to perform far less Silkbind Moves as well as decreasing the hunter's ability to Wiredash.
Effect on Monsters
A monster will become sluggish when inflicted with Iceblight. Their slowed movement will make it easier for hunters to react, and helps with dealing with enraged, quick-moving monsters, but take care when inducing the Iceblight, as it does not affect already exhausted monsters.
Iceblight Cures/Prevention
How to Cure Iceblight
Iceblight can be cured by consuming a Nulberry. Alternatively, hunters can repeatedly evade (

) in order to reduce the remaining duration of the effect. It is also possible to simply wait until the duration of the effect runs out on its own.
How to Prevent Iceblight
Like other Elemental Blights, the effects caused by Iceblight can be mitigated and even completely negated if the hunter possesses enough of the corresponding Elemental Resistance, which in this case would be Ice Resistance.
A Ice Resistance of at least 20 is required to prevent Iceblight.
A Ice Resistance of less than 20 will mitigate the effects of Iceblight, however will not prevent it.
Iceblight can also be prevented by having Lv. 3 of the Blight Resistance armor skill.
