Magma Almudron is a Large Monster in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR). It is a new sub-species of Almudron introduced in the Sunbreak Expansion. Large Monsters are hostile and are usually the primary objective of Hunts. They provide valuable Materials when defeated. MH Rise Magma Almudron Characteristics & Locations

Unlike normal Almudron, Magma Almudron live in the Lava Caverns, and can manipulate magma instead of mud. They secrete a special liquid that melts the ground, allowing them to move freely through the earth. Known for their aggressive nature, they become extremely agitated when trespassers set foot on their turf, attacking them unrelentingly.

 

MH Rise Magma Almudron Combat Info

Characterized by raging attacks using the magma rock on their tail. A larger rock means more powerful attacks. Attacking the tail can cause the rock to explode, causing damage. Enters a heated, softer state when preparing a rock or after moving around underground, marking the perfect time to attack.

Quick Combat Tips

  • Magma Almudron is immune to fire and mainly deals fire damage, so equip your armor to resist it.
  • Magma Almudron is weak against Water and Ice, so equip your elemental weapons oriented to that.
  • As its recommended to aim for the head, always check its tail as it is its main source of damage, and it will be easier to predict its attacks.
  • When the Magma Almudron throws multiple balls of magma rolling away to you, try to dodge them by placing yourself between them, careful not to overdodge, as you may contact the next magma ball coming at you.
  • When Magma Almudron is half buried on the ground focus your attack to the upper half of it, and not its tail since it keeps attacking with it.

MH Rise Magma Almudron Attacks & Movesets

Knockback Tail - Pretends to be distracted while it puts its tail on its side to suddenly knock its target back.

Claw Swipe - Quickly swings at you once with its paw.

Dig Slam - Digs down and enters the ground, at the last moment whips it tails hitting the ground. Then quickly comes out of the ground back again.

Tail Swing - Spins quickly swinging its tail splashing magma towards its targets.

Tail Drag - Put its in front of itself and walk towards its target dragging its tail hitting enemies with it while using it as a shield.

Magma Ball - Slams its tail to the ground and then throws a ball of magma that slowly moves in a straight line leaving a trail of fire for a short moment.

Spinning Magma - Magma Almudron spins and twists around throwing a few magma balls around.

Massive Magma - Jumps making a quick frontflip to then slam the ground with its tail splash magma around and throws 3 or 4 simulstaneus balls of magma away.

Long Dig - Enters into the ground and quickly moves towards its target, it can be traced as the players can se deformation of the ground, once it reach its desired location, it quickly comes out performing an attack.

Half-Buried - After entering the ground it may not fully come out leaving its body inside the ground exposing its tail and upper-half out of the surface. It will keep performing attacks with its tail but it will be unable to defend its upper half.

Magma Explosion - It will enter the ground and quickly come out jumping to the air and finish slamming the ground with its tail making a big explosion, splashing magma around. After this attack Magma Almudron has to catch its breath for a short moment.

Magma Boulders - It jumps into the ground, then quickly up again to the surface and hits the ground with its tail splashing magma and leaving 3 big heating boulders.

Tail Slam - Slams its tail at targets with different variations as jumping and spinning to slam at you or slam at you by just twisting its body forward.

Ground Drill - Jumps into the ground and then back up and in again, several times, pulling out heating boulders around to and end half-buried where it keeps throws magma balls from a distance.

      There should be a 3 way turf war between the 3 leviathans (and their variants) where they just all jump at each other and make a gigantic slithering ball of worm.

        holy hell I didn't know they could make almudron even more annoying and bs. Constant AOE spam, its tail has homing heat seeking auto-aim capabilities, and even though he's like half the size of regular almudron, he's got 5 times the range to make up for it. He basically can homing attack you from 10,000 feet away while you're sprinting full speed.
