Grinder (S) is a Skill in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR). Grinder (S) is a new skill debuting in the Sunbreak Expansion. Grinder (S) grants a boost to sharpness properties based on the number of levels the weapon recovered. This skill has 3 Levels. Skills are granted to Hunters by their equipped Weapons, Armor, Talismans and Decorations and play an integral role in a Hunter's progression.
Grinder (S) Effect
Grinder (S) is increased in level based on the amount of Equipment with this skill the hunter is using. Each level works as follows:
- Level 1: Effect activates for 60 seconds when sharpness recovers 3 levels.
- Level 2: Effect activates for 60 seconds when sharpness recovers 2 levels.
- Level 3: Effect activates for 90 seconds when sharpness recovers 2 levels.
Grinder (S) has 3 Levels, after which, additional levels won't provide any further benefit.
Increases damage by 10% and elemental damage by 7.5% after restoring 3/2 tiers of sharpness (so going from Green sharpness to Purple sharpness is 3 tiers)

Have to test this skill but my guess is that it's gonna pair well with protective polish, speed sharpening and a weapon with small white/blue or purple/white sharpness

"grants a boost to sharpness properties" what does this do exactly? boosts it like handicraft? makes the sharpness last longer?
"when sharpness recovers 2 levels" what does this mean exactly? like if you start at white sharpness do you need to drop down to blue? or all the way down to green? is this even worth it?
