Does this work with dragon piercer still. Got a build with 70 percent crit chance but only if crit draw price.

      • Just tested-- this skill works with Hammer's "Charge". You can start a charge while sheathed and the moment you let go, you get the buff. Can be really strong for bursty Level 3 charged openers.
The only issue is, you'll need to re-sheath your hammer in order to get the buff again. I'd say 100% pair this with Punishing draw to make a super fun hit-and-run playstyle with hammer!
This also probably explains why it only last for 2.5 seconds (the same time it takes for any of the hammer skills) and also why it specifically doesn't work with silkbind skills (due to hammer being able to charge and use them for one big opener)

Oh man, amazing can you see the guy raging below? Sadest rage ive ever seen in my life, over the last few games they have made GS absolutely god tier in terms of both fun playstyle and damage but this moronic human being, instead of learning how to adapt has a big old cry about something that IF they did would be completely broken. I dont necessarily like the nerf being a GS main but can easily see how it would be too broken. Weakness exploit is your friend since the most fun and most devastating charge attacks cannot be pulled off from the point of drawing your weapon anyway. Incredible work as always on this game but now that wirebugs are a thing, how can they possibly make a mon hun without them? That would be cruel.

Wow, people are really mad for no reason over this. Especially the guy who went into a whole baby rage over a single nerf... christ.

Great job Rise team, you ****ed up critical draw. I had great hopes of returning to hit and run crit draw greatsword after the shitshow that was tackling, tcs/rage slash nonsense but now... this THIS happened. Tell me, why did you **** this up? I know my question won't get any answers because this is just a ****ing wiki but let's ignore that and let me vent my frustrations. Why did you **** it up huh? Crit draw has been in monster hunter for quite some time, ever since it was introduced it gave greatsword users a way to fight in a safe manner, it was extremely powerful. A guaranteed 25% increase to your already powerful level 3 charge. Obviously it lost SOME uses in mhw but in iceborne it has a surge in popularity.

Now look at rise. Boy oh ****ing boy would you look at that. 40% affinity? What? Are you ****ing kidding me? That was a perfect skill, why would you even change it? Why the **** am I penalised for playing a hit and run greatsword? Look man. 100% affinity won't make longswords powerful because their main damage is helmbreaker, not Iai spirit slash. Ain't nobody gonna use Iai counter every damn time to make full use of crit draw. The only ones ****ing using that **** is GREATSWORD. You got that Rise team? GREATSWORD. God DAMN I paid $60 for this ****.

Thanks for putting up with my venting. I just... I really loved greatsword in 4U. It floats like a butterfly but stings like a bee and I loved it. Now, it ****ing sucks. Outclassed by weakness exploit, laughably short duration and generally unusable to most classes. **** I'm still mad.

Yeah unfortunately the skill was changed to favor multiple attacks after unsheathing *cough* iai slash *cough* rather than one massive draw attack. The way it looks, weebswords took a fun toy away from GS. But hey, at least we get cool silkbind attacks...right?

                • Anonymous

i legit think they nerfed this because greatsword with 100% crit draw would be too bonkers with dog + free aim wirebug

                  • Anonymous

Forces the use of Weakness Exploit for GS critdraw users. The extra time may let you do a second attack. Can't say if expert would be better, instead...
Critdraw LS may be a thing with this, too.
