Elemental Exploit is a Skill in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR). Elemental Exploit is a new skill debuting in the Sunbreak Expansion. Elemental Exploit increases elemental power when striking body parts that are highly vulnerable to the inflicted element, and has 3 levels. Skills are granted to Hunters by their equipped Weapons, Armor, Talismans and Decorations and play an integral role in a Hunter's progression.
Elemental Exploit Effect
Elemental Exploit is increased in level based on the amount of Equipment with this skill the hunter is using. Each level works as follows:
- Level 1: Attacks that hit weak spots do +10% elemental damage.
- Level 2: Attacks that hit weak spots do +12.5% elemental damage.
- Level 3: Attacks that hit weak spots do +15% elemental damage.
"Weak Spots" count as Hitzone Values 20+. This means that anything below 20 Elemental Exploit will have no effect.
Elemental Exploit has 3 levels, after which, additional levels won't provide any further benefit.
It is advisable to learn the monster's HZVs (hitzone values) and how often you will be hitting that part with your weapon. For example, if you are using Dual Blades against an Anjanath, you will not be utilizing this skill almost at all until the monster is toppled or KO.
