Master Utsushi is an NPC in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR or MHRise). NPCs are non-playable characters that interact with the Hunter during the story or optional activities in game.

A man in the Gathering Hub who mentors young hunters and handles Arena quests. He taught you much of what you know about hunting. While his persistent dynamism is inspiring, it can lead him to easily get carried away at times. His talents also extend to mimicking monster roars and making monster masks.

Master Utsushi Information and Role in Monster Hunter Rise

Utsushi is a cool, level-headed hunter who serves as the player's mentor throughout the game. He is always pushing you to test your limits and think outside the box. Although he is your mentor, you both share a tight bond forged from hours of training day in and day out to become a true hunter. He is extremely proud of how far you've come, and affectionately refers to you as "Ace". Master Utsushi can be summoned during Rampage quests as a Warrior of Kamura to aid in the fight.

With the release of the Sunbreak Expansion, Master Utsushi will be able to join players on certain hunts as a Follower.

• Master Utsushi can be found standing at the entrance to the balcony in the Gathering Hub within Kamura Village.

Master Utsushi As a Follower

Master Utsushi is one of the Followers that can join hunters on Follower Collab Quests. His first quest is unlocked after completing the M⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hub Quest "In Search of the Doctor".

Master Utsushi's Services

• Utsushi manages the Arena Quests section of the Gathering Hub where players can take on Arena Quests and Challenge Quests. He is also the one that teaches you new Switch Skills whenever you unlock them.
