Insect Glaive Builds in Monster Hunter Rise are Builds that cover a few popular recommended and some personally crafted builds for and from the community. MH Rise Insect Glaive Build Guide

The Insect Glaive can be used to control a Kinsect, a small insect that harvests extracts from monsters to boost your abilities. The insect glaive also allows you to vault, so you can perform jumping attacks at any time. The Insect Glaive is a truly unique weapon that relies on the use of a small creature known as a Kinsect in order to boost the weapon's performance in various ways as well as provide extra bonuses to the hunter themselves. The Insect Glaive mainly revolves around being able to maintain the buffs provided by your Kinsect in order to maximize your ability to deal damage to the monster, while also utilizing the weapon's ability to launch the hunter into the air in creative ways to open up opportunities to outmaneuver the monster and reach its weak points. Because of this, the Insect Glaive mostly benefits from skills that complement its reliance on buffs, as well as allows it to better maneuver around the monster. One thing worth noting is that the Insect Glaive in particular consumes sharpness very quickly, meaning sharpness related skills are also a welcome addition to any build.

MH Rise Insect Glaive Elemental / Status or Raw Damage?

Both elemental/status and raw damage builds are equally viable for the Insect Glaive. Because of its high attack speed, the Insect Glaive usually has no issues with applying elemental/status damage to a monster, however its attacks also possess high enough motion values that physical damage isn't a bad option either. Usually, if you can match your Insect Glaive's element/status to a monster with the right weaknesses, then elemental/status will result in more DPS than a pure raw damage build, but even then the difference in DPS is not that much.

 

Mhrise Damage Insect Glaive Build

Pros and Cons of this build include its raw damage output. This build centers around Skills with high Attack and Damage increasing Boosts and highlighting the Skill, Dragonheart featuring some of the rarer equipment available in the game including the Valstrax Set. This build also utilizes the Dragonheart skill bonus, but must be played a specific way to maximize the build's effectiveness. With this specific skill, players will need to drop health to 80% to gain Dragonblight. Players will then be able to activate Valstrax Soul which Increases Dragon element attack by 20% when afflicted with dragonblight. Starting off with the Reddnaight Shuma that provides a 170 attack and contains the Rampage Skills, Attack Boost III, Wyvern Exploit and Valstrax Soul. This provides a foundation for the build, and is stacked with more Valstrax equipment to add on the Dragonheart skills, which allows Draconic energy to fill you after losing a certain amount of health. Weapons lose all non-dragon effects.

Mhrise Insect Glaive Build: High Level Attack

This build prioritizes the Attack Boost Skill, adding on to the already high attack level of the Evening calm of 190 Attack and 40% Affinity. With this high attack rate, Weakness Exploit and Critical Boost can further take advantage of the high attack levels of this build.
