MH Rise Light Bowgun Build Guide
Light Bowgun is the light version of the heavier Bowgun, giving it more mobility while sacrificing some damage. The Bowgun has a Fast fire rate and short to moderate range. Much like the Heavy Bowgun this weapon type has the ability to cast a Variety of ammo types with special effects upon impact. Based on this information, we can make adjustments to the build and chose which Skills to prioritize.
The Light Bowgun is a surprisingly mobile weapon that is capable of strafing around monsters with ease all while unloading shot after shot into its target. Alongside its mobility, most Light Bowguns are able to use a special mechanic called Rapid Fire that allows them to shoot multiple projectiles in a row when using the correct ammo. The Light Bowgun receives the most benefits from skills that complement its mobile nature, as well as improve its ability to target weak points on a monster in order to deal damage maximum damage. As one of the two "Bowguns" in the game, the Light Bowgun also has an entire set of skills that are designed specifically to enhance its performance as a ranged weapon.
MH Rise Light Bowgun Elemental / Status or Raw Damage?
Both elemental and raw damage builds are viable for Light Bowgun. Status is a nice bonus that comes with some Light Bowguns, however you really shouldn't try making a build centered on dealing status damage, mainly because you can only carry a very limited amount of status ammo compared to elemental and other types of ammo. When going for an elemental build, you should always use a Light Bowgun that can Rapid Fire elemental ammo with the same element as the one you are trying to build for. Rapid Fire is what gives the Light Bowgun its potential to be such a devastating elemental weapon, so you should choose your Light Bowgun based on which types of elemental ammo it can Rapid Fire. For raw damage builds, you want to be thinking about what type of ammo you want to be using to deal the majority of your raw damage, then create a build centered around using that ammo type.
Mhrise Light Bowgun Build
Sinister Shadow Bolt comes in with a level 190 Attack and a 155 Defense, a higher level in these elements all affect this weapon type build considering it is a ranged weapon with medium damage abilies compared to its other Heavier weapon type. In this build we maximize damage output with Critical Boost and Partbreaker, which makes it easier to break or sever parts of large monsters. This skill is also complemented by Weakness Explot which Increases the affinity of attacks that exploit a monster weak spot. This skill is added to the build with The Valstrax Braces. Other skills are especially fitted to rannged weapons with ammo such as th Recoil down, Spare Shot and Reload speed, which also help with this weapon-type's mobility. The Spare shot is made especially for bow tyoe weapons as it allows the bow and bowgun shots to have a chance to not expend coatings or ammo.
