Hornetaur is a Small Monster in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR). Small Monsters are typically hostile and optional objectives of Hunts, but can produce valuable Materials. This page covers information on Hornetaur including weaknesses, drops, location information, strategies, tips and tricks to help you defeat this monster.
Small Neopterons found primarily on land, featuring two developed horns and legs peppered with sharp thorns. Extremely territorial, Hornetaurs attack any who approach without mercy. When processed, the shells around their bodies boast impressive strength; in their current state, however, too much "umph" when attacking can easily obliterate them, rendering them useless. Collect those materials with care!
