Insect Glaive Weapon Traits

• Unparalleled aerial abilities.
• Rapid, flowing attacks with a good range.
• Kinsect provides strong self buffs. Unlike in Monster Hunter World, Kinsects can't be upgraded in Rise and are instead bought from the Blacksmith. Their level and stats depend on the Insect Glaive you're wielding.
• The insect glaive can be used to control a Kinsect, a small insect that harvests extracts from monsters to boost your abilities. The insect glaive also allows you to vault, so you can perform jumping attacks at any time.

Master Rank Insect Glaive Weapons

Introduced with the release of the Sunbreak Expansion, Master Rank Weapons are a brand new and more powerful tier of Weaapons available to hunters to help them deal with the deadlier Monsters that can be found on the Sunbreak Expansion. 

Note that these Weapons can only be accessed by players that have purchased and installed the Sunbreak Expansion. For those who own the expansionless version of Monster Hunter, these Weapons are unobtainable.

Weapon Advantages

• Extremely high mobility paired with superior aerial combat.
• Ability to vault over low-hitting attacks without expending Wirebug charges.
• Kinsects provide a great amount of versatility when creating builds.

Weapon Disadvantages

• Kinsect controls can be difficult to learn and master.
• Requires quite a bit of resource managemet; You need to learn and memorize which monster parts grant which Kinsect charges, as well as develop a consistency in collecting said charges in order to unlock the weapon's full potential.
