As fervor wells up and turns into rage.

Furious Rajang Details & Locations

Furious Rajang are Rajang variants that are covered in golden fur. Normally Rajang return to their black-furred state after being agitated for a time to conserve energy, but these beasts have lost the ability to curb their anger. Outclassing the standard Rajang‘s attack power, they assault with seething rage. At the apex of their fury they become enraged and turn into destructive demons with electrified manes.

    • Red: Head, Arms
    • Orange: Torso
    • White: Hind legs
  • Enraged mode: Furious Rajang's golden fur coat spikes up, and begins to glow with an electric aura. Furious Rajang's attacks are spammed more rapidly and more frenetic and more thunder oriented; it does not intensify the slam attacks as much as its elemental attacks.
  • Rampage mode: Like normal Rajang, Furious Rajang while enraged can power up its arms to become hard as steel and hit harder. Furious Rajang will enter this state by standing up on its hind legs, turning its arms red, then roaring while pounding its chest rapidly. The roar will knock back hunters that are too close while Furious Rajang enters this state.
  • Furious Rajang can be trapped, but which traps are effective change when it enters Rampage Mode. While Rampaging it will destroy Shock Traps, but dodge Pitfall Traps while not Rampaging. It is still able to attack even while caught in a Pitfall trap.

Quick Combat Tips

  • Furious Rajang do NOT have tails! If a Furious Rajang were to enter its rampage mode, aim your attacks at its head to knock it out of this state. Beware though, as aiming for the head makes you also prone to being hit by many of the Furious Rajang's attacks. Skillful guards and dodges will be key to winning this fight. Keep in mind that Furious Rajang uses a lot of powerful restraining attacks, so if you get clobbered, use Wirefall to quickly recover and retreat.
  • Furious Rajang has a very frenetic combat technic, and it feels too chaotic and awkward to fight with. It's not a monster that can receive a slow or long combos without jumping away or knocking you back, by slamming the ground.
  • Hit and Run: Don't stay close to the Furious Rajang for too long unless you are equipped to tank it, otherwise it's best to make a quick determined attack and be ready to dodge or gain safe distance again.
  • Most of Furious Rajang attacks are engaged forwards, so a general quick tip is to run behind it to avoid getting slammed or to stay safe of whatever attack its getting ready to do next.
  • Furious Rajang is immune to Fire, Thunder and Dragon leaving you no choice but to wield Water and/or Ice elemental weapons.
  • Furious Rajang inflicts mainly Thunder damage so it is advice that you be equipped with Armor resistant to it.

MH Rise Furious Rajang Attacks & Moveset

Furious Rajang's moveset includes all attacks that a regular Rajang uses while in combat. However, Furious Rajang will also occasionally perform these new attacks listed below:

Ground Shock - Jumps back charging thunder on its hands and lands putting both hands on the ground, a few lines can be seen on the ground in front of the Furious Rajang. Then it roars and at the same time, thunder comes up from the lines on the ground.

Slam - Heavy slams the ground with one arm and stays in that position for a moment afterward. When enraged, Furious Rajang may cast a thunder explosion after slamming the ground.

Bull Charge - Runs towards a target and head bumps upwards at its targets throwing them up in the air.

Thunder Drill - While enraged, Furious Rajang gathers thunder energy and charges very fast making a drilling movement with thunder sparkles, all across the arena.

Thunder Barrage - Jumps in the air and throws balls of thunder to the ground forming a line, and causing explosions along the same line.

Huge Boulder Throw - Inserts both arms into the ground to grab a large boulder, then chucks the boulder at a hunter to deal heavy damage.

Remember that this monster can only be fought in Master Rank, so the attacks performed will generally be faster and harder to evade compared to a Rajang in High Rank.

On the off-chance someone is reading this and is struggling, try a defensive build. Evade Extender 1 or 2, Evade Window 5, Divine Blessing 3, Speed Eating 2 or 3, defensive Dangos etc. Use as much as you need. The people who tell you to ONLY build for crits/dps are the ones going online and getting carted over and over (which they conveniently leave out on the forums lol)

Wow some people are actually annoyed that this is a requirement to continue the literal post end game of sunbreak, by the time you fight this monster you're going to be done the main story of sunbreak so obviously every urgent quest afterwards will be very challenging.

Dunno who wrote the page initially, but you completely forgot the NON-Follower quest "Pierce The Heavens." Fixed on your behalf.

Gunlace Wide pure shelling + eruption is the easiest way to fight him. Use rocket boosters to catch up sometimes.
