A Sinking Feeling is a Key Slaying Hub Quest in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR). A Sinking Feeling is a brand new Quest debuting in the Sunbreak Expansion. Key Quests are mandatory to complete the game, while Non-Key Quests can be completed to earn additional rewards. Quests are grouped by difficulty according to their ⭐ Level. Within each ⭐ Level, you are required to complete a certain number of Key Quests in order to advance. Once the prerequisite number of Key Quests are completed, you will receive an Urgent Quest which will unlock the next set of quests within the current ⭐ Level, or an entire new ⭐ Level of quests upon completion.
After getting my first ship, I was tasked with ferrying knights to the Jungle, but Hermitaur and Velociprey roam the shores! I don't like the look of this... I JUST became captain! I'm not ready to go down with the ship

- The name of this quest is very similar to the name of a quest from a previous Monster Hunter game; more specifically, "Sinking Feeling" from Monster Hunter Freedom 2 and its expansion Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. In "Sinking Feeling", the objective is to deliver 3 Popo Tongues, which are carved from Popos. However, unlike in other missions where Popos are readily available for slaying and carving on the ground level, they are only found on the peak of the mountains. When the player goes up to the top of the mountains, they are met with another surprise: Tigrex, the flagship monster of Freedom 2, is waiting for them at the top. The player must avoid Tigrex and get the Popo Tongues anyway. Luckily for Rise players, Tigrex only appears in "Sinking Feeling" and not A Sinking Feeling.
