Windmill Notes & Trivia

  • Negates incoming attacks while the weapon is actively being spun around the player. Initial opening and ending frames lack this protection, and thus the player can get prematurely knocked out of the animation.
  • Windmill excels at countering aggressive assaults and telegraphed attacks. Successful feats in this manner will allow a monster to eventually be mountable.
  • It is costly at 2 Wirebugs per activation, and thus timing is crucial to maintain maximum effectiveness and benefit.
  • Windmill will not negate attacks that are otherwise meant to hard crowd-control the player, such as Kushala Daora's dragon wind bursts which launch the player vertically. Attacks that are considered "ultimate attacks" that are meant to be evaded outright, and not blocked or parried, will also negate the effects of Windmill.
