Sticky Ammo is an Item in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR or MHRise). Sticky Ammo is a type of Item that can be used as ammunition when firing either the Heavy Bowgun or Light Bowgun.
Sticky Ammo Mechanics
The following gameplay mechanics apply to this type of ammo:
Sticky Ammo has an initial, very small damage hit which is followed up by an explosion 3 to 5 seconds later depending on ammo level. While the initial hit can be a critical, the main explosion cannot as it deals True Damage similar to Gunlance shells. This explosion will also deal a sizeable amount of stun damage if centered on the head of a monster. Any shots that impact terrain will explode immediately, damaging nearby monsters in a small radius.
Dango skills such as Dango Marksman and Dango Temper do not affect the damage of the explosion, however skills which buff your raw attack damage such as Dango Booster will. The Artillery armor skill and Teostra Soul Rampage skill will also increase the damage of Sticky Ammo shots.
