Sacred Sheathe Combo is a Long Sword Switch Skill in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR). Switch Skills are swappable moves in a Weapon's moveset that are only available with the Sunbreak Expansion. Switch Skills can be swapped at any Item Box and Switch Skill combinations can be saved to Item Loadouts. This Switch Skill can be swapped with Special Sheathe Combo and is part of Skill Set 3.

Sacred Sheathe Combo Switch Skill Description
A slow methodical movement that can be executed following an attack.
Upon sheathing your weapon, you can harness the increased spirit to unleash a follow-up slash. The power of the slash increases according to the level of the Spirit Gauge. If you are attacked before you have finished with the sheathing, it will consume one level of Spirit Gauge and the move will be canceled.

Sacred Sheathe Combo Notes & Trivia
- By releasing the Special Weapon Action input during the sheathing animation, the hunter will perform the Sacred Sheathe Counter - which when successfully executed just as a monster's attack hits, will completely negate the attack's effects and allows for transitioning straight into the final hit of the Spirit Blade Combo (Spirit Reckoning or Spirit Roundslash), similar to the Foresight Slash.
