Lagniapple is an Appraisal Item in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR or MHRise). Appraisal Items are items that can be exchanged back in Kamura Village for certain goods and/or services. It can be used at Buddy-related Facilities and activities to boost their productivity and results.

Lagniapple is a guaranteed reward for completing certain Optional Subquests offered by Hinoa and Minoto.
Meowcenaries
Villagers that reward Lagniapple
- Buddy Expert Shirubei will occasionally reward the hunter with Lagniapples for taking their Buddies out with them on quests. Each time the hunter returns from a quest they completed while accompanied by one or more of their Buddies, there is a chance that Buddy Expert Shirubei will reward them with a Lagniapple.
There is also a semi-hidden area in the Buddy Plaza where they can be obtained reliably:
To the left of Kogarashi, there is a large tree which has vines on the back that you can climb. This leads to a Cohoot nest which periodically fills up with some useful items. This nest is a great source of Steel Eggs and Lagniapples and you can find a number of other rewards. Be sure to check the nest after every few quests.
Lagniapple Usage
Lagniapples are used to boost Buddy productivity while they are working in certain facilities at the Buddy Plaza. The effects are as follows:
Buddy Dojo
Using a Lagniapple at the Buddy Dojo grants a boost to training for up to 10 rounds, increasing the amount of experience earned per round by Buddies training at the dojo.
Meowcenaries
Using a Lagniapple at the Meowcenaries boosts the expected outcome of a Meowcenary Mission, increasing item yield and/or rarity for that mission.
The Argosy
Using a Lagniapple at The Argosy increases the duration of any active Bargaining Skills being used for Trade Requests by 3 cycles.
