Bloodblight Effects

Effect on Hunters

Bloodblight afflicts the hunter with both detrimental and beneficial effects.

It reduces the hunter's natural health recovery, gradually drains their health, and decreases the amount of health recovered by items.

On the other hand, the Bloodblight ailment will also grant the hunter a lifestealing effect, regaining health with every attack proportionate to the amount of damage dealt.

Bloodblight Mechanics

Bloodblight is a new status effect being introduced with the Sunbreak Expansion, primarily as a Status Effect inflicted on hunters by Malzeno. It is a double-edged ailment that negatively affects a hunter's health and ability to heal through various means, but also imparts a lifestealing effect to every attack they perform while under the effect.

More details on Bloodblight's mechanics are yet to be confirmed.

Anyone know of a way to apply this deliberately through skills? I thought for sure that Malzeno's armor would apply it just like Valstrax and Magnamalo, but it doesn't. The Blood Rite skill is something completely different.
